We are off in our motor home to Buxton/ Bakwell area for Xmas and then on to Kath's for New Year so will catch up with all you bloggers when we get home next year !! Oh and I have now changed to Blogger Beta but haven't had a chance to explore it as yet but I think if you haven't up-dated yet it might be difficult to add comments here unless you do it anonymous !!
Here is a picture of Islay one of our schnauzers as I think she looks so cute with her Xmas wreath

6 Weird Things Meme

Here I was just coming to try and update blogger and I am tagged !!!

Thanks Crafty Drama Queen for tagging me LOL. So when I told hubby and daughter I was hurled with quite a few things that are weird about me ; I am astounded as I didn't think I was weird !! So I guess I will type the printable ones !!

"THE RULES:Each player of this game starts with the '6 weird things about you'. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says 'you are tagged' in their comments and tell them to read your blog."

Here goes: 6 Weird things about me:

1) I have one ear larger than the other which I hate and that is why I don't have my hair short

2) I have a bone sticking out of my left foot which is visible; a legacy from my running days , I USED to be very athletic !!

3) Hubby says I love to eat the smelliest and runniest cheeses, which I do: is that weird ?

4) I loathe champagne; just can't see what the fuss is all about ; give me decent glass of wine instead

5) I talk to my dogs and know they undertsand me and will answer me back; so we have lengthy conversations

6) Since blogging I gather if I am weird then I am not alone; I see that there are many stash gatheres out there who have even BIGGER stashes than mine.

I am only going to tag Kath
as everyone else I was going to tag have been done :) But if any one else who reads this & would like to take part please feel free :)

Problems posting on other blogs !!

Is any one else having problems posting on other blogs? or is blogger having an off day ? I have tried to post on several blogs today and some work and others don't so will try again later. So apologies to Alice, Ruth , Christina to name a few. I do have some FO but as they are gifts I will have to leave them for a bit but I have also finished my tagliatelli jumper and am doing a matching scarf with the kid mohair in the same shade to match . It a B to knit ; I started on metal needles as they were the first I came across and the stitches were slipping off so I am now using bamboo which is better but as it is so thin I need to work in daylight as being variegated yarn it is so easy to knit two stitches together and its a lacy pattern also.
Oh and just to let you know Kath's computer is poorly so she is off line ; x fingers they can get it sorted as she is getting withdrawal symptoms at not having a computer.

Been doin the 'Blues'

This is the second 'Rollin Beret' I have made for a friend of mine using handspun rainbow dyed merino; hope it fits as I have made it larger as she has a bigger head than mine and Kath's (who is modeling it )

This scarf pattern is out of Colinette's Arboretum book and I have used hand dyed silk. Not sure about this one as the silk I used was very loosely spun and bits keep coming off it so it may be a 'frog 'job ; also I think the drop stitch pattern will catch on everything, we'll see .

This is the moeibus shawl/scarf I couldn't post a picture of in my last post and I love it, even if I wish I had done it wider. It's made with handspun/ hand dyed alpaca and it's so cosy . I used a pattern out of Cat Bordhi's book and I think her cast on method for moeibus is the easiest I have used so will be making more of these in different patterns as I find them fascinating to do.

I have so many things on the go at the moment I don't know where to start but my wheel keeps calling me for a chill out session and I have to say I am succumbing more to her than doing my long list of 'must do knits'
Oh and Kath and little Emily are here at the moment so we are not getting much done but Kath and I have been doing some more silk dyeing but I will let her tell you about that,I will show mine later
